Hello. I would appreciate your advice on selecting a new smartphone. I currently own the Blackberry Storm. I have used the Curve and the Treo 700p. I have come to find that I loath Blackberry, considering it to be a cumbersome and unintuitive OS (even after learning the shortcut keys) and not really all that customizable. The only really wholehearted compliment I can give the Storm is it's screen display. I really did like the Treo OS, but it became far too dated, and the new Pre will not be coming to Verizon anytime soon, if ever. I have never used a Windows Mobile device, but am open to the idea. Here is what I would like to see in a phone.
1. Large, good resolution screen (the Storm's is good).
2. A full Qwerty keyboard.
3. Touch screen, stylus preferred.
4. A robust, efficient, customizable OS.
5. The phone must be fairly responsive (I hate excessive lag!)
6. Wi-Fi.
7. unlocked GPS not mandatory.
8. Excellent reception.
9. Good speakers for speaker phone calls.
10. Excellent microphone.
I am a gadget person, and enjoy writing computer programs. So geeky phones are good. I am also a business person, and rely on my phone for email and attachment handling often.
Any thoughts of yours would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Eric
