smartmovie, quicktime, and codecs

i installed the alternative quicktime codecs to make movies for my phone. sounded easy, but now my browser on the computer locks when trying to watch movie trailers at quicktime.com? any known work-arounds?


i cna typ 300 wrds per miunte.
 
1. What phone are you using?
2. Why did you put smartmovie in the title? What relevance does it have with your situation?
3. If you've got movies on your computer, and you're trying to use Smartmovie to watch them on your phone, there is no reason for Quicktime to be involved.
 
phone is 6682, as pictured by my name. smartmovie needs codecs to convert most of the video files on my computer, so that i can watch them on my phone. that is when i was informed from this site to use the alternative quicktime codecs, but they don't seem to work with all other quicktime movies that i try and view through internet explorer.
