No need for an attorney. That's the point of small claims court. I doubt the police didn't take a report (that would be VERY unusual). In small claims court, you have to prove that its more likely than not that your version of the facts is correct. Judges are smart enough to know that one's friends are likely to bend the truth to help their friend. You might want to talk to an attorney for some advice if you know a lawyer, I don't think its worth hiring one - it will likely cost more than the deductible. Also, the judge may toss the case because the facts are still in dispute by the insurance company and there no determination by the police department.

so i was in an accident about 3 weeks ago, a girl ran a red light and i hit her. unfortunately she is saying that i ran the red light and is taking me to court for the ammount of her deductible. should i consult with a lawyer or attorny?

also, the light did not have a red light camera picture taker (not sure of the exact name), the police did not take a report or any statements, the light also does not have any type of camera for proof. i was alone during the accident and she had two of her friends with her, who im sure are going to take her side. the insurance companies just filed it as a disputed claim, so what should i do???
