I was in a small car accident on thursday and i got injured and i went to the hospital and got told i have whiplash but i am still in allot of pain my upper back(shoulderblades) is agony and stiff and not getting any better sore neck and stiff. Its been 3 days now and i feel even worse. oh my taxi decided to reverse into another car thats what happened should it still be this sore

It does tend to get worse before it gets better, and, yes, it can take more than a few days. Ibuprofen/Nurofen seems to help the most.

Hi my Fiance was involved in a shunt in the back of our car in June. He went to the hospital who told him it was a whiplash injury. They basically tell you to keep mobile. I would honestly see if you can claim for this injury as we are and have settled out of court. If you can go and see a chiropractor. They put my Fiance back and legs back in line due to this accident (sounds daft I know!) but the insurance paid for all of it. It did take a while to ease the pain and it was worse in the morning, some times he was as stiff as a board. Take paracetamol for the pain and neurofen for the inflammation and see your G.P again but honestly please go and see a chiropractor its the best thing he did.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.

First of all DON'T SIGN ANY PAPERS!! The insurance company will try to offer you money so they can get you to sign a release...DON'T!!! It sounds like you are pretty messed up and may have some pinched nerves!! I've been in 2 accidents and I had the same pain as you and come to find out after they did a mileogram it showed I had a pinched spinal cord and it was bothering my neck and shoulders!! I just had back surgery and am trying to live with the neck and shoulder pain. They have me on pain pills which helps!! Good luck and be careful and don't sign release papers until you are thoroughly checked out and I would wait a long time!!
