Small breed dogs suggestions, preferably a lap dog?

I don't want a King Cavalier King Charles spaniel, not that I have anything against them. I want a lap dog, that likes being held and such. as even though I'm 19, im moving in 6 months to live by myself and my husband who's military, so ill be alone A lot:( I need a companion:)
haha no! I won't give my dog small dog s. :) lol I know about that
