Small Bowel Series necessary

So, basically my Gastro. sent me for a small bowel series. The thing is that my endoscopy already visualized my small intestine as normal. I also had an abdominal sonogram, a colonoscopy and a HIDA Scan.

I believe my gastro. only sent me for the test because I had been pestering him about an MRI. He kind of said, "Huh, let's see what tests we haven't done yet."

I would like to avoid the radiation if possible (simply because I've had alot of radiation lately). What do you suggest? Is the Small bowel series necessary for me
 
I doubt the dr would just be doing the tests for no reason. I am envious. My dr finally sent me to a GI specialist and he wouldn't do any tests, saying I had IBS. He said since I have had 2 cat scans and 1 ultra sound there is nothing wrong. I would love to have a HIDA scan.
