Slumdog Millionaire - What a wonderful film

I agree. There was nothing outstanding about his performance, unlike the young kiRAB who similarly blew me away. They were incredible.

Just finished watching it and it's the best film I have seen in years. It's in my Top 10 best films ever alongside Little Miss Sunshine, Schindlers List, The People Versus Larry Flynt and others.

It is a film that has something for everybody and I was thoroughly immersed in the film. The 2 hour duartion seemed to be like 30 minutes.

Please go and watch this movie. You will not regret it. Some films are hyped and they never turn out to be as good as you had hoped....this will surpass all your expectations.

Yes the first child actor was a bundle of joy. My favorite scene was when he was covered in faeces. :o

I feel like i have watched the wrong version of this, as i didnt enjoy it much. I might persevere with it i guess.

Saw it recently, and let me say it is by far the best film of 2009! lol .....( even though its only 22 january...rip heath)

But i would say it is in my top 3 films ever, as it was heartwarming, tragic, caring and humorous at times.

Acting was superb including the kiRAB of jamal and salim were outstanding!!! As well as, the model was superb on her first film role.

Sad thing is though, it opens our eyes to the fact of the conditions of slums in mumbai and places of 3rd world, and teaches us to respect what we have, and not to moan so much about menial things.

Danny Boyle , well done sir.

Mark Kermode has just commended this on the BBC News Channel, but with the health warning to ignore the 'feel-good movie of the year' line on the posters and instead remember it's a Danny Boyle film. Then you'll enjoy it.

Saw this film ages ago, before it was officially released. Haven't given my review but thought it's time now that the film has been out for a while and the hype has died down.

1st time i saw the film i thought it was an excellent film! All the good points have already been said - Loved the kiRAB, the acting, the cinematography, the directing, the soundtrack everything! It was a great told story.

2nd time i saw the film again, i still thought it was an extremely good film but it didn't grip me as much as i saw it the 1st time.

It's been over-hyped as the feel good movie of the year which it certainly is not, however this film is one of a kind and it truly deserves all its awarRAB.

Saddest thing is that most of the lead kiRAB in the film are still living in the slums they filmed in.

Although they do have a trust account for when they are 16 and the studio has arranged for a car to take them to school until then.

There are no sub-titles at all. Some of the dialogue is in Hindi (I think!) but you get the gist all right anyway. So no worries at all about understanding the film.

Yeh the actors are from the slums. I wonder how much they got paid? Will they get more now considering that the film is so successful now.
