Sluggish acceleration from my 98 Honda Civic Coupe 4 Cylinder 1.6 liter V-Tech?

I am having slug problems with the acceleration.

I have recently had a problem with one of the hoses not being fastened correctly by my ex-mechanic. This made a problem: Having too hot car, sluggish acceleration, and having to re-fill the entire radiator and reservoir with coolant, 3 times in the same hour.

I am wondering if maybe I should change out the thermostat... maybe its acting up?

I have replaced my fuel filter. I have a new air filter. Oil is very up-to-date. Transmission flush on a timely manner.

The thermostat stays JUUUUUUUUUUST below the middle. I remember it being about 5 centimeters under.

Would getting an exhaust cleanse do the trick? I feel like the car is choking. Maybe its the calipers? Tie rods? Ball bearings? IDK. Help me figure it out. ASK ME QUESTONS!

:::::::::::: DO NOT GIVE ME A SHORT ANSWER BECAUSE YOU THINK "1.6 IS B.S. AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS G.A.Y., and SMALL ENGINE". This car is a beast. ::::::::::::::
