Wow such a sick ass band anyone else listen to them much/?? They are perfect for like chillin music and when ur in a bad mood Im wanting to play some of their songs on acoustic but I havent had the time yet I think id be dope

slightly stoopid is awesome. They have come a long way from the self title cd ( i think it was in 96) to what they sound like now. The self title is not produced anymore, but you can find it online (soulseek, user name: bthm go to full albums -> slightly stoopid- self titled).

They are awesome live. awesome. The reason they remind you of sublime is most likely because brad nowell saw SS and sort of took him under his wing a little bit, while signing them up with skunk recorRAB. If you like sublime, you will probably like slightly stoopid. Also look into the long beach dub allstars, and the ziggens.

Their newest cd "everything you need" was released a little bit before last summer. Before everything you need, they hadn't seen any radio play that i'd ever heard, although there was a boot leg i had called KIOZ from radio station KIOZ 105.3 in san diego that they did a live acoustic set on. This was so good that it was later released without the funny commercials and interview as Acoustic Roots. With the release of everything you need, they got a little more publicity. Sweet honey can be heard on the radio every now and then, and was also featured in the first episode of "The O.C." which is a hit tv show if you havn't heard of it.

Honestly, everything you need sounRAB a lot different than all slightly stoopid before it. When i heard it for the first time, i was stunned that they changed a lot of their songs around. Old songs released on EYN are Killin me deep inside, wicked rebel, wiseman, leaving on a jet plane, mellow mood, and collie man. Killin me deep inside and wicked rebel changed the most i think. And its not that they suck for changing, they're just different. I like both versions.

And speaking of wickedrebel, there use to be a wickedrebel.com where you could download some real dope mp3s from concerts and such. They had the mellow mood with g-love long before it was on EYN. Now it is at the "street team" website: http://www.eselocos.com (look in the audio downloaRAB section). You can find slightly stoopid shows at www.sublime-archive.com or you can browse my files on soulseek screen name: bthm

Hopefully they will come out with a new cd soon. there were a bunch of songs that i thought would definitly be released on EYN that weren't. Mexico and false rhythms have been around for a long time. Also a lot of the kyle acoustic songs such as comma comma, closer to the sun, BMPT, little jammer, underneath those pressures should be released in my opinion. Mexico will almost definitly be released on the next cd though, i have a studio demo of it

ps: There is a german punk band named skunk that miles did a song with. I have it shared in my assortment folder. Skunk - Irie (Ft Miles)

also check out Kyle and Bad Billy - Life is not Bitter Rose (with kyle from SS)
