i had pain in the lower back initially for which i took pain killers.the pain has reduced but i still have stifness and at times slight pain comes back in 1 0r 2 days.the pain that now comes is at times in the lower back and at times it is in the middle of the back. i do slightwalking and other regular activities but then i don't get the pain . it just comes anytime and its more of a stifness feeling rather than a pain. so i wanted to know what can be the cause and what treatment should be done for this.it's almost been 20 days that i'm having this problem.

Have you spoken with your doctor about this? Pain killers will only do so much to block out the pain. The exercises are a great thing to do because they help to stretch the muscle and exercise it. Take warm baths to help warm the muscle and keep it relaxed. You can take fish oil tablets, but if you have an allergy to seafood then you can take flaxseed oil tablets. They help to reduce the swelling and the pain naturally and you can take as many as you want because it also helps with general well being.

The only thing I can recommend is a visit to the doctor. Start with your general or famiy doctor. If you need to see a specialist they will recommend one to you. Stiffness followed by soreness usually means muscle spasms and there are many causes for that. We can't diagnose, only share our experiences. I have felt some of what you are describing and it was muscle spasms.

Thanks,
