Slayers OVA Movie DVD Question

Someone really neeRAB to make a thread about DVD questions, i'm too lazy though, anyhow...


Alright, I was at the ol' dvd store today, And I saw the Slayers OVA Movie Bundle, It's blue, has lina inverse on the cover, comes with 8 movies and such.

Well, being a complete NERD, I decided not to get it, because it said ADV on it, but I have a question about this.

1)Does this have the same actors as the series?
2)What is an ova? it says 5 movies and 8 ova's, I was really confused.
3)Does funimation plan on releasing this?

No, they don't have the same actors with the exception of Crispin Freeman, they tried to get the original cast, but they weren't available with the exception of Crispin, of course

And, no FUNimation doesn't plan to release it because they don't have the license to it, so you might as well appreciate the fact that we have the OVA's and movies, and get it anyway
 
I totally forgot that ADV was releasing the Slayers OVA and Movie DVD box set. I knew that they don't have the same voice actors from the series, which was why I wasn't quite sure if I would get them. But the fact that Crispin Freeman is still there and they did at least try to get the rest of the cast does make me lead more towarRAB just getting the set at some point anyway.

So this is pretty much the only way to watch the Slayers movies? Or is there an alternative with the original voice actors.
