Slap from Handshigh

Anyone using this? Or the ToDo + prog? Seem interesting but before I plunge into them (as usual...) can anyone answer the following questions.

1. It seems to link only to the built in date book for the Palm, can i default this to Agendus?

2. It also appears to default to Versamail in terms of e-mail, and I for one don't use that. Again can I change it to the one I use?

The programme itself at first seems to be quite handy, but on further reading it just seems to be another over complicated application.

Can anyone confirm or argue against these points? Has it become a 'can't do without' item.

Slap will link to Agendus or any other calendar program that uses the standard Palm Datebook. To my knowledge, it won't link to the Clie Organizer or the new PIM apps on the latest Palms. It will also link to ClieMail and Snapper Mail as well as VersaMail.

I tried this program for a while but found that Diddlebug will do most of what Slap does and it's free. If you like to just put in short notes and convert them to things like to-do's or appointments later, either program will do. In my experience, it's just about as fast to open the program I want the item in and enter it as it is to make it a two step process.

I agree with Jim. Slap is mapped to one of my T3's buttons as are agendus and other programs. i like it as a slick bit of programming but it truly is almost as fast to open the program youwant to use. I rarely use slap and only if I have to suddenly record soemthing. Then it can be helpful to have access to such a program. I use Alpha memo as my prime memoorganiser and have it mapped to Slaps seconf button push function. BNecasue I use alphamemo slap does not link with my memopad. Therefore one of its mainfunctions is not useful to me. If I had it to do again, I'd not likely buy it. It could be useful though if you have remapped your buttons adn still want easy acces to the core aps.

There is a TERRIFIC small app (38k) called INBOX that is super for

1. Hilight text
2. Do command stroke
3. Place that text in Address, To Do, or Memo.

I WAS NOT able to connect it to Agendus, but only TO DO. Remember, however, that AGendus still picks up that to-do (placed in "NO DATE") and then you can prioritize, colorize, posterize or anything else "at will." At the end of a day, 3-4 little notes made in to To-Do's are amazingly "right there" at least, whereas you might have forgotten to enter them if not for Inbox.

Cool app, somewhat limited.

PenDA and Graffe DA (they work together) do the same thing, but apparently OS6 won't be kind to DA's (desktop accessories) so Inbox might be the winner there. I tried both and like Inbox.
