skype on fring for htc evo 4g?

For some reason I cant seem to use my skype on my fring app for my sprint htc evo 4g. this is so annoying and frustrating because this is how i keep in contact with my cousin in china. is there a problem on my end or what other app could i use a skypeout on for my htc evo? thank you
