Hi,
I am a 66 y.o. male and have a back problem that is difficult to diagnose.
About 2 weeks ago I tried to lift something that was too heavy - I held it momentarily then turned in a twisting manner to avoid dropping it on my feet. I fell back as well in the process.
The problem is a surface soreness just like sunburn all around my stomach area but extending to the sides and into the small of my back. At first I thought it was shingles (I had no idea it might be related to my accident) but it was more widespread, and without any rash or blisters.
My skin has just become very sensitive and sore to touch all around my midriff. There is no bruising or any marks at all. And there is no sign of the neuralgia - I'll call it that - decreasing or changing in any way. My back otherwise does not seem to be affected. I assume I have somehow damaged my spinal nerves. (My GP was very unsure about it, but prescribed some Lyrica - pregabalin. I have not taken any yet.)
Any help or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
