Has anyone tried a skin peel called Skin Culture peel 4000?From the testamonials it sounRAB promising, but kinda expensive.Any opinions would be appreciated.Take care.:blob_fire

I don't know about that specific skin peel but I got a chemical peel from the derm and it did absolutely nothing and my insurance did cover it. I had to pay outta my pocket and it had no effect on my skin. I would recommend to really look into it before you do because it wasn't worth it for me. Good luck and I hope that you have better results than I did.

Yes I've done the skin culture peel before. It was wonderful, I bought the 4000 peel. It got rid of the most stubborn marks I had that I thought were going to be permanent. I loved it. It's very expensive though. Are you looking to get rid of red marks & scars or for acne in general? It won't keep the acne away so it's a waste if you get breakouts a lot. I'm going to buy another as soon as I get my skin under control for good so that breakouts won't leave more red marks behind to deal with. Good luck on your decision.

I dont get acne to much anymore just a few here and there on my chin. But i have noticed some of my pores are clogged.I was hoping maybe it would peel far enough down to maybe shed some of the skin clogging my pores.Yeah i know it is kinda expensive.I do have some residual marks from my acne clearing up.Did the peel hurt ?Thanks for any replies.Take care.

I am currently in day 6 of the peel process. It's not very painful, you apply one jar of cream (thick yellow stuff) to your face around the same time each day, leave it on for 90 minutes and scrape it back off with a wooden scraper. You then can't rinse your face for at least 8 hours. After day 3 you will most likely avoid going in public places. After day 4 when you've finished the last jar, your face is very tight...the only thing I can liken it to would be having Elmers white school glue dried in a solid layer on your face. For me, the peeling has been two days so far and I'm only half peeled. So far the most uncomfortable part is the itching I feel on my dried out dead skin.

I can't say I'd do this peel again. As your applying each jar your face gets darker and darker, you look like you have a very orange/brown tan. So if you think about it, when your skin peels, of course your skin is going to look lighter and fresher since your skin gets so dirty looking from the peel. I did this peel to get rid of light red and brown spots on my face (I'm fair skinned and 31). I did not notice a difference. Skinculture says that if you do not have noticeable differences, they guarantee their product and will send another 4000 peel. We'll see if they actually do guanrantee their product when I call in a couple more days. Although I'm not sure I would want to do the peel process again...maybe in the middle of winter.
