DIdnt get any response to this last post but have got skin around the chin which is red and scarred from bad spots years ago.
The rest of my face is not blemished like chin and need to get the skin to heal so the scarring goes.
Its not acne but more severe spots that used to build up to yellow heaRAB on them. Although dont get them as frequent now the remains off scarring are there and its quite offputting and is ruining self esteem.
Tried exfloiants notthing cant see any changes tried gels and bio oil tea tree oil nothing for months at a time.
Tried vitamin e and camomile again just nothing minor changes but nothing solid
Tried face packs all sorts but the damn skin just wont heal itself.
Should a dermotologist be the answer etc skin graph as just want the skin back to how it should be.
The simple range is good but am in scotland here not america etc :blob_fire

I'm not sure if you can find it in Scotland (maybe online?), but I had a similar problem following an acne outbreak resulting from some medicine, and started using Eucerin Redness Relief Daily Perfecting lotion. It has a green tint (which is complementary to red, so immediatately decreases red appearance) plus some ingredients (can't remeraber off the top of my head) which over time decrease redness/scarring. I've been using it a couple of weeks and it's made enough of a difference that people have said something (not just when I have it on either!). It's light, non-greasy, and even has SPF. For the past few months I felt like I needed to wear make-up to cover up this mess but I haven't the past few days b/c I am much more comfortable. I don't think it says it improves scarring but I know it has for me. They also make a clenser and night cream but I haven't used those. Hope this helps--I know it can be so frustrating/erabarassing!

try cocoa butter but only apply it at night in the morning whats left of the cocoa butter dont wash off wipe it off with a towel do this for a couple of months and youll see that the marks will start to fade

While cocoa butter is good for scars, if you are still prone to acne, I might not try it because I think it might clog pores. I used to put it on my lips before bed, and the result was me breaking out all around my mouth and chin below my lips.

I would suggest Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel...I have been using it for about a week now with good results.
