Find the exact value of each expression. Do not use a calculator.
( I will use a * to mark degrees)
4cos60* + 3 tan (? / 3)
sec (- ? / 3) - cot (- 5? / 4)
sec50* cos50*
This isn't me trying to cheat out on homework. These are study problems for a test and I'm absolutely stuck. This is killing me, because I know more advanced stuff than this, but I'm drawing a blank. Can someone help me out? How do you work these without a calculator?
We are allowed to use notes on the test, and I have a unit circle chart with me. I know the Even and Odd properties, that sec = 1/cos, and all of that, I just can't get this very basic stuff for some reason.
Oh, I got 2 + 3 square root of 3 on that first problem before I posted this question, but I didn't think I could just leave it like that...
And that last one should have been obvious to me. Augh. My brain is just fried from too much studying. Thanks for the fast and helpful information.
