...arrangement I have of my daughter.? Here's the thing, I just established joint legal and joint physical custody of my 1 year old daughter. Currently I get to spend exactly two days a week with her, but come August, when we return to court I will have an equal time share of her. I have orders for training with the Army National Guard for a period of almost 7 months, beginning September 22nd, so basically for a lil over a month I'll have her equal amounts of time. I don't want to lose that just because of my orders. To me it is common sense for the time share/custody arrangement to return to normal, when I come home. Now I am concerned with the fact that, the Mother will use my leave of absence for the Army against me, is there anything I can do to protect myself from such a thing happening while I'm gone?? From what I understand this is a travesty that occurs all over the nation, everyday to single parents in the military. Is there anything out there to prevent the other parent from filing a case with the family courts, because you are a soldier?? Also I just got my orders, so the courts don't know about it yet, should I say something, should I not?? Any knowledgeable advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank You.
