Single 19 year old parent, living with boyfriend, can I get financial aid for college?

Me and my boyfriend have been together since I was 4 months pregnant (the father left.). My son is 16 months old. We all live together and make about 12k a year from his income, I'm a stay at home mom. My parents don't help. Am I considered an independent? I live in Illinois. I need financial aid in order to go.
 
yes once you have a child you are financially emancipated from your parents. Fill out a FASFA surely you will qualify for a pell grant along with financial aid.
 
yes since you are not married you do not have to include the father of your childs income or you parents. all you hve to do is file for FASFA with your school and provide them the information they need. also you might get a check made out to you once your school and books are paid for which is really nice. i just did it and i am enrolled full time next semester!!!!!!
