I don't know of many cats who kill and eat fish by the shoreline each morning, but why do they llike salmon and tuna so much?

Most cats do not like water,but yes if they could they will catch a fish in shallow water I have watched one catch fish from a shallow gold fish pond.In nature whatever you can catch is food period.

Another question to ask is why in the world to cats crave milk/cream.
Its not like cats can go milk a cow/goat etc.

I wouldn't doubt they could catch fish if needed. Mice and moles are just easier to hunt, though I don't think you'll be seeing many mouse flavored treats anytime soon.
