Since soft reset can't reload programs. Any thoughts?

I just did a soft format of my E61 and now I'm having a heck of a time reloading some of the programs that aren't on my phone any longer. For example the phone search program won't install. Any thoughts?

perhaps you forgot to allow the installation of ALL programs? Apps Manager / Options / Allow Install - All (default is "certified")

What error message are you getting?

it says download canceled on the computer and my phone just goes back to the main screen.

Are you trying to download to memory card or phone memory? If memory card, you may need to format the memory card, especially if you have set any security codes.

I did a hard reset and then first thing I did was change the setting to allow any program to be installed. Last time I did if after loading up a few from Nokia first. Problem solved.

With Nokia most times if you do a hard reset for whatever reason it fixes the glitch.

It sure does. And now I get to put ALL the info back into my phone because I don't want to do a restore and reload the problems I had before. But it does feel like I got a new phone.
