No one knows who shot JFK, the oswald acting alone theory is hardly less rediculous than saying it was aliens to i wont bother with that one.

President Lincoln was shot at point blank range by John Wilkes Booth who was a member of the Episcopal church.

Mr. booth's motive was southern sympathy as far as anyone can tell from his diary which also demonstrates his devout religious beliefs.
Charles Guiteau shot James Garfield because he believe god told him to do so.
McKinnley was shot by an anarchist named Leon Czolgolz who was probably acting alone.
All three of these men were shot at or near point blank range in front of a large group of witnesses. While there is contreversy over certain issues the fact of these 3 men's guilt is well accepted.
Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of shooting JFK however there are numerous problems - primarilly due to the time frame of shots and the gun he supposedly used - and the fact that he wasn't that good of a shooter
