Sims 3 game shuts off. Computer says I need to check for consistancy?

I know people have been posting this question many times but mine is a little different. So its basically the same story. I play the game and within seconds the screen goes black and a blue screen with words on it flashes but it is gone too fast so I can't read it. Then a black screen comes on telling me to select the type of computer I have. I select PC Windows XP. After this the computer either goes straight to the loading screen that shows when you first turn the computer on. then its black for 2-3 minutes. then i'm back at the homepage. or it goes to something that says one of your disks need to be checked for consistency. When the test is done it shows all these numbers and crap that i don't pay attention to. Then its black for 2-3 minutes then it goes to the desktop. The weird thing is after 3 or 4 tries the game will work. But if something shakes the computer the game usually shuts off. As far as I know the computer meets all the requirements
