Simple Physics question : mercury barometer?

Picture a simple mercury barometer. It is given the length of the vertical column is 60cm and atmospheric pressure is 76cm Hg.

Is the pressure in the space at the top of the vertical column 0 cmHg or 16 cmHg??

Why??? Thanks :P
