Simple HTML Editor for Mac OS X?

I'm looking for a simple HTML editor for my Mac. TextEdit, for whatever reason, does not like HTML much (and yes, I messed with the settings already.) I'm just looking for something to type HTML by hand, maybe with some shortcuts and tag coloring, that's total and complete freeware. Any suggestions?
