With the everyday hustle and bustle of life old paperback books are easy to forget and damage in a messenger bag, among stacks of other books, or just laying around unattended.
I've been using a re-purposed solid waterproof-cardboard stationary box measuring 5.5"x7.5"x1.5" to hold my paperback books safe when I'm out and about. It works quite well, but I'm looking for something more sturdy and long-lasting.
I'm looking for something without clasps or latches or decorations, just a pull on/off top and a bottom half that nests inside. Something like http://www.tinyboxcompany.co.uk/picture.asp?PictureID=1368109 but not made of paper. Preferably wood, but I'd take a strong cardboard like the one I currently have for when it finally succumbs to wear.
The closest thing I've found so far is a large playing card box, but all the options have large wooden dividers in the middle for keeping the cards safe and sound. I can't fit a book in with those dividers!
Any keywords, suggestions, or ideas? Anything helps!
