Israel = always wants a homeland in Canaan.
Edomites, Moabites, and Amonites = Israels closest neighbors and biggest enemies; today = Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan
Persians and Babylonians = enemy of israel but also shows reverence for monotheism; today + Iraq and Iran
Egyptians = not to keen on Israel but still strongest military and trade ties
Hittites = police force in mideast. tries to keep out of mideast meddlings but finds it unavoidable when things flare up. still Israels biggest friend and the ones they respect the most. Today = Turkey.
