SIM will not read

I have changed the OS on 8310 and an 8110 from SUNCOM to TMobile using JL Commander and installing OS with vendor removed. OS loads fine, but neither will recognize TMobile SIMS card. I received an unlock code from TMobile for the 8310 SIMS card, but it will not recognize it in the phone to unlock it. I am doing all this with the radio off as it requires. Any ideas????

You might have a bad sim card. Go to tmobile and tell them that your phone is not reading your sim card. They should replace it for free. I would contact CS first so that they can note it on your account.
 
The SIM card is not bad....taking it out of a working "TMOBILE" phone. I am wiping with JL Commander, then installing OS without vendor. I have done this numerous times with other phones (changing form verison to AT&T, etc). The problem is when the person went to Tmobile with this old phone to get a new one, tmobile locked them. They even gave one of them the unlock code, but it doesn't work either. Your thinking I may need to "unlock" the phone and then install OS? I have never had to unlock one before, just wipe and install without vendor file, but this is Tmobile.....thanks for any suggestions
