Alright, I'm a sig maker, and I do graphics on photoshop, etc.
Anyways, you get the idea.
In my tutorial viewing times, I saw A LOT of tutorials that had a couple things in common.
1.Of the tutorials I watched, all of them were from experienced sig makers, and photoshop junkies.
and 2. On almost every tutorial, they talked about using "apply image" in photoshop when making sigs.
My question is this:
What is apply image, and what does it do, specifically in sig making.
Also, why in sigs, do they say stuff like, Make a new layer and then apply image. I just don't get it. A new layer with nothing on it, then apply image.
PLEASE be as descriptive as possible, I really want to apply(no pun intended) this function in the use of my sigs.
Thanks you guys.
I mean in use for sigs only. I know what it does to photos, and I understand all that jaz, but what really confuses me is the useage in sigs.
Just because I so often see people making new transparent layers and then using apply image. It really boggles my mind. I have googled this and read about all the little links, and it still makes sense, but not how I've seen it used over and over again. I know it has to be important if so many awesome sig makers use this.
I am ONLY looking for how it's used in sigs, and even if you only answer the transparent layer apply image question, it would be mega appreciated.
Please, no links, unless they directly answer my question.
