I am worried about the mental stability and sudden mood swings and paranoia of my new girlfriend. She is 39 and has a lot of stress in her life... 3 kids, going through a divorce, moving houses etc... She is a Nurse and has just gone back to work after 4 months 'off sick' with stress due to the complications of her divorce.
I am not aware of her being on any medication, but feel she may be and this may be the cause of some strange personality changes on occasion...
She is a loving and caring person who on a number of occasions has aggressively flipped when she feels confronted and gets paranoid irrationally at innappropriate times if I say the 'wrong thing'.
these moments generally occur in the evening, after a couple (No more than 2) of glasses of wine... I have noticed that she starts to constantly sniff a lot, is twitchy and cant relax, overly talkative, 'wide' eyed, very awake, and can flip instantly to aggressive accusation without real provocation.
If she is on medication for stress are these symptoms and are they affected by a couple of glasses of wine... I am worried why she is sniffing... could this be more than prescription drugs?
