signal boosters

ok, i was on ebay earlier in the week, and i saw an auction for cell phone signal boosters. im not quite sure how they work, but they say its suppose to boost your signal by one bar if not more.

my mind was intrigued by this as it says that the booster goes in behind the battery, and doesnt even need to be in direct contact with the antenna.

now i dont get great service in my house, but it works, however part of me is curious to how this works, and what they are made of to make the signal stronger.

anyone ever bought something to do this, or made something because im thinking about ordering one, or possibly making one. its more probable that i will make it because i like to do stuff like that.

i will get a link to an auction for one momentarily.

yeah thats kinda what i figured, i couldnt see it working unless it had some direct contact with an antenna and even then i dont think it would do much.

but this raises an interesting point, is there any way to get better service? i was sitting in my room last night with a bar.

they don't work.

if you really need better signal there are a handfull of amplifiers and signal repeaters available on the market. depending on the specifics you're looking at between 300-1000

The stickers are a total scam . There are lots of threaRAB in the forums to confirm that . There are lots of real solutions out there.Click on our banner aRAB here on the Howard Forums to see some real solutions

well... bars don't really mean anything as one bar on your phone might mean 2 bars or 3 on my phone, but... yeah, you should be able to place a call as long as you get any signal. the danger is if the signal is low and you move or something disrupts it you may drop the call.

I wear these cell antenna stickers over my eyes when I sleep.

Keeps me VIGOROUS AND POTENT.

That's about the only thing they do.
(They hurt like the dickins when you peel them off in the morning.)
