Siemens c35 Battery problem!!!!!!

I have a problem with siemens c35, when i power it on without simcard, it remains like that for a very long time but as soon as i insert a simcard and power it on, it just stays for some seconds and tells me battery empty pls recharge!!!! all the time it happens this way. Pls if there is any help, it will be very much appreciated.
