Sidekick Lx Sim Card Question?

I just got a sidekick lx and while I was doing the setup and all that before I could start using the phone it was working fine but then out of the blue it said i need to insert my sim card. my sim card is already inserted and I checked to see if it was because it was placed the wrong way or something. I need help because I really wanna use my phone so.. Any suggestions on what I should do?

P.S - Already tried calling customer service .
 
Happens to me sometimes––I have the Sidekick 2008. It just means you are in an area with low bars. Get into a place where you have better coverage, and it will work fine.
