sidekick lx problem: please help?

today my sidekick lx just came in and i ordered it off eBay and i don't have t-mobile i have at&t but it is unlock... and when i added contacts there in the phone but when i get a text or pic message only the number shows up! and not the name! is there anything i can do to fix this? please help
