Sidekick LX phone question?

so i have a question. I was wondering if the moving pad(not the scroll ball but the one under the menu button), can you make it stop skipping the bubble things in the menu, like make it go through one bubble at a time instead of skipping two bubbles.

btw its the sidekick lx that only comes in the navy blue and brown colors
