sidekick lx internet porblems?

i have a side kick lx and my brother has the 08 and we just got it connected and we have the 1500 Talk and Text, 30MB data plan but every time we go to aim or msn etc. it say network unavailable and when i go to internet browser and type in www._____.cm it says '' network data services are currently unavailable. either your GPRS APN setting is incorrect or you account is not configured for GPRS.'' i need help pleas
