Sidekick lx 09 pay as you go......internet?

I bought a new sidekick lx 09 from ebay that has been unlocked. I did have a sidekick 3 but that broke, i also bought that from ebay unlocked....the sidekick 3's at the time could only be used with a contract sim card but as it was unlocked I could put in my pay as you go, however this meant I could not get all the functions like the internet.
This new lx 09 apparently can be used with pay as you go even in america so i was wondering whether i will get internet as i am on a t-mobile sim card?
