Sidekick dpad is not working?

my sidekick fell in water and now my dpad wont move down at all it only moves up and sideways and i need my dpad to ork because my trackball was already damaged before it fell in water the trackball only moves up and sideways it doesnt move down my sidekick is very hard to use because my dpad is not working how can i fix this
