sidekick 4g battery dies pretty fast?

I bought the phone around 3 weeks ago and the battery was fine when i first bought it, but after 3 weeks, it jsut seems to die faster than usual. i charge it when the battery is around 8-19% left and i noticed that when my phone is idle for like 10 hours, it loses about 30% of its battery life. is this normal?
