Sidekick 08 for a iPod 3rd gen... is it a good deal? (5*)?

Since I am getting a new better phone anyway, My friend wants to trade his iPod 3rd gen for my sidekick 08... Do you think it's a good deal? It's in alright condition, and since my sister does not let me use her iTouch, why not? Or am i getting ripped off and i should get more from him?
