side bangs?

my mom works at a hair salon. she said that when i wanted to do some minor adjustments to my hair, she could just do it at home for me. so i am thinking about getting side bangs like the ones in the links ↓ but i just wanted to know how to cut them just to be sure... does anyone know how to cut side bangs?
