sick from sub

i was taking 30 mg of lortab a day. dr put me on 8mg of suboxone to start with 4 in the morning 4mg 12hrs later. I waited 14 hrs between the last time i gook a lortab to the first sub

that was sunday the 3rd/ ten days ago. I have been sick from the very first dayl the dr gave me anti nausea medicine ketpt me from throwing up but still felt real bad.

went to the dr monday, yesterday the 12th. he put me on a lower dose 4 mg total aday instead of 8mg,and changed the med to subutex. doesnt have the nanolax something in it. He said i may be allergic to that part of the medicine.

i took 4mg suboxone before i went to the dr. then that evening took the 2mg of subutex. threw up again, went to bed sick most of the nite. I got up this morning and took 2mg of suboxone. GOT sick threww up. three times felt real bad,
BUT instead of taking the other two 12 hrs later I took 1mg at 11:00 am. DIDNT GET SICK> YEA stil dont feel that great but then i took the other 1mg at 5pm 12hrs after the one this morning; a total of 4mg aday. i feel good didnt throw up. Dont feel great. still weakl

I am going to take 1mg in the morning and see how I feel.. instead of 2mg in the morning and 2mg at nite. ill take one mg four times.

I hope they have got the dose right. I still am hoping the medicine will work.

good side is I think the withdraw from the lortab would have been worse had i cold turkey it.

I think he gave me way to much sub for the small amount of lortab i was taking. I think the 2mg i took this morning and i still felt bad is i am withdrawing from too much sub. who knows


Ill let you know in the morning how I feel after the first 1mg.
 
Jolo, I'd like to point out that if you are getting sick, you shouldn't be continuing on the Sub. Some people just can't take it, thus the reason why doctors monitor their patients VERY closely in the beginning.

Perhaps you should talk to your doctor about a taper off the Sub, cause I surely would not want to go through what you go through every day. It's just not worth it. Suboxone is supposed to make your life better, not make you sick every day and scared to take your next dose.

emsmom yes boy have i gone through a lot. I got up at midnite and took another 1mg, was starting to feel bad. it worked i didnt get sick. I do have diarea nw. like i said i think i am withdrawing off way to much suboxone. Got up this morning and feel a lot better. took the other 1mg of the two.

still not fantastic feeling but not like i am dying either.

I am seeing a dr. and I am doing exactly as he says. he said 3 per cent of the people go through what i have gone throug. he said we will get the dosage right.


I will give it the rest of this week, he gave me enough for 7 more days at 4mg aday.


Like i said i think he is used to dealing with addicts who take lots of pills, I wasnt taking that many for that long. I dont crave the lortab because i never took enough to feel good on them.

Glad he didnt up the dosage. like some drs do, thinking it is not enough for the quantites of drug the person ws hooked on. My dr may learn from this. I think he was told that the sub wont work below 8mg to get some one through withdrawels of the original drug. then reduce their sub.

I am writing this and dont feel like throwing up yet. I took the 1mg at 5am almost an hr

How was your day? Any better? I hope you find a solution to your Sub situation soon, as it must be hard to go through your day feeling sick or trying to avoid getting sick.

emsmom well I took three total mg. at two mg , noon, i was able to work around the house some then had to throw up ,about an hr and half after the secnd mg.

have diarreah also. I am going to take the fourth mg now. Damn I am getting tired of it not makeing me feel good. I will take them 4mg aday till monday and see what the dr has to say.

last nite i had to get up about 1am, i think that was the time, and took one mg. was starting to feel bad;

shouldnt my dose last between dose and not start to feel bad?

I am hoping he gave me too much to begin with and i am still comming off the 8mg aday.

i hope this 1mg last till i get up in the morning. I am supposed to take 2mg when i wake up and 12 hrs later take the other 2mg.

was afraid to take the whole 2mg at one time , thought i may get sick. If i lay down when i take 1mg i dont get sick. It shouldnt work that way i dont think

it seems to take 1 1/2 hrs befor i get sick and then i just throw up everything that is in my stomach and feel ok after that.
