sick from allergy shot?

i thought i've had a stomach virus this past week. Little upset stomach/stool monday, missed a couple of hours of work. Monday afternoon i get my allergy shot and by the evening, a lot of cramping... I stayed home on Tuesday. Thursday afternoon i get my shot, early evening my stomach starts burning/hurting. I started taking my nexium, nothing. I don't think i can go to work today. I'm doubled over about 80% of the time

is this possible? probably is... i have such a pansy gut as i get older.
 
spoke with one of the nurses. She hadn't really heard of my type of reaction to the shot but agreed that it is very suspicious that 4-6 hrs after the last two shots i've started getting sick and bad enough to miss a day of work. She said don't come in on Monday, she will talk to the Dr. and call me. Not like a epi pen or benadryl will help this. Looking back I believe that i started to have symptoms, but it was a weaker dose, weather was crappy so i just attributed the "ick" feeling to that. :confused:
 
I'm on the side of not....I can't imagine what connection the serum/allergens have with your digestive track.
 
dolysoRAB, I too have reactions to my allergy shots. I am taking the shots for dogs, cats, feathers, dust, dust mites, mold, trees and grasses. I have been taking them 3.5 months and on last Monday, I started my last vial which has the most potent serum which will lead me up to the maintenance dosage, and I have been feeling crappy ever since. Monday night: Sort of dizzy. Tuesday: Headache, warm and super tired. Today: Tired, cranky, weird stomach.

How long have you been taking the shots?

If you think about it, we are getting doses of allergens that our bodies are allergic to so reactions to them are normal.
 
I'm ok now. It turns out that i did have some sort of stomach virus. I've heard of other people that have had a 2-3 wk bug. I did skip a week on the shots, no change in the way i felt. I started getting the shots the following week.. no change. I did get an ultrasound on my gb..no stones. Shortly after that i was fine
