I am getting my SIA licence and going to apply for jobs in the industry, I have no criminal convictions and have passed a disclosure check before and don't see why I won't get my licence.
What I am trying to find out, is does anyone here know exactly how a 5 year checkable history check works? as for past 5 years I have been helping run a family business and only reference here is a family member so when these companies do checks, how do they do them? phone, write letters? as I don't want to pay money for my licence only to find out I won't pass these checks.
