si rim on my 2008 honda civic lx?

i have si rims and tires for my car but i was wondering if you have to raise the car a little bit to fit the tires and rim or anything cuz my car is sitting on 16 and si rim r 17 and the 16s are like an inche or 2 away from the fenders
