OK. I've had inflamed SI joints on/off for years now. One question. My pain can flip from one side to the other in a matter of 24 hours. Does anyone else notice this?

I NEVER have both sore at the same time. For instance, throughout the previous weekend, my pain was all on the left SI joint area. Across the left buttock. Then on Monday throughout the day, the pain went away completely. By Tuesday night, the pain was now on the right. It seems to definately be the SI joint. It's very sharp shooting pain that seems to originate immediately to the right or left of the sacrum.

The ONLY thing thats ever worked is Celebrex, tens, rest and ICE.

Anyhow. Thought I'd start out with the FLIPPING question.

Hi. I have arthritis in both SI joints and yes, one day the right will hurt and one day the left will hurt. You're right, I've never had pain in both at the same time. Guess I should consider myself fortunate.

Celebrex also works for me to relieve the pain.

Don't know what else to say except, the same thing happens to me. Why? I really don't know. Perhaps when one flares we favor the other side when walking, which causes relief for the one with less pressure but puts a strain on the other, resulting in the pain seeming to flip from one to the other.
