Your 3 choices (well, my 3 choices..)

HTC TyTN
HP IPAQ hw6955
HTC S621 (same as S620 in the USA)

- Price is NOT a factor to me -

Now, the Ipaq has a GPS built in which is kinda neat, though I'm not sure how often it would be used, and I've read that there will be no Windows Mobile 6 upgrade available.

I heard that the TyTN screen will break if you accidently close the keyboard too hard (that would really really suck), a Windows mobile 6 upgrade may be available.

The S620 / Dash in the USA has a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade available (I believe it is T-Mobile), which seems to suggest that HTC will be posting a WM6 upgrade on their site for the S621 soon as well -- great, as it has Live Messenger integration!

Talk time is big between them though (Talk time / Standby):
HP - 240min / 170hour
S621 300min / 216 hour
TyTN 300min / 240 hour

What I need? Outlook synchronization, Windows Mobile OS and WiFi.

Here is a link on the Rogers.ca site that will compare the major features between the three.

So what's your verdict, and why? I'm purchasing it tomorrow.

I'm with HTC myself and I've played around wit the unbranded TyTN and felt it was robustly built. I'd lean towards it. I havent been happy with HP PDA's and havent use their smartphones, so I dont knw. Plus, WM6 is MUCH nicer than WM5. I'd get S621 if I wanted a thin fone with QWERTY minus full size bigger slideout keyboard on TyTN.

Point is, I'd be getting TyTN.

So your P3300 has WM6 on it -- what do you think the chances are that the TyTN will get it as well? When you played with the keyboard, did you find it flimsy or unbalanced at all? Did you notice if the slideout keyboard really did 'Snap' back hard and could it be possible to bust the screen?

You'd have to be really harsh for that to happen. The keys had good tactile feedback, but then again, I havent used a keypad in months considering my current phone is entirely touchscreen, and I'm certain a GPS add on with TomTom on a 2.8inch screen will be better than the Ipaq's smaller screen.

Regarding WM6: HTC's already begun rolling out updates on their website, by the end of this month you should be able to get an update from HTC, but there are far more superior WM6 'cooked' ROM's out there that have been preloaded with necessary applications. I am currently using a custom ROM as well, with has the homescreen of HTC Touch minus touch-flo, whcih apparently is going to make its way onto my smartphone soon thru another custom ROM in a few weeks. But thats a different story. Point is, you've got the option of putting an HTC ROM in the coming weeks or upgrading to a completely custom ROM as well. I chose the latter.

The IPaq is the way to go. I had one in the past and drowned it in some water. Since price is not a factor, they are well built and a quality product.

what are you comparing? HTC makes the ipaqs phones lol

ipaq hw69xx = HTC Sable
ipaq hw651x = HTC Beetles

your title should be HTC vs HTC Vs HTC
