I've never owned an Arai, I just assumed that extra plate you have to remove is such a hassle. But since you owned both, I'll take you word for it

The Arai shields are a cinch to change. Feels like you're breaking it the first fe times you do it, but its so easy. You don't have to take the side pieces off like the Suomys either. And thats a kick ass bike, Brooks! :-)
