Hmmm, okay not bad, I got one for you

While I was in Europe, I was on a quest for this helmet:

So, I decide to go to the Aprilia HQ in Noale, Italy.

While I was there, not only did I get the helmet I was looking for (At dealer cost and with a sick ass bag too), but I got to meet the guy who helped design it.

According to Aprilia, the RSV4 helmet hasn't been created for U.S. specs yet. But you can get a regular carbon fiber Vemar Eclipse.

Okay, okay, but Ducatista... that's all I'm sayin. I guess I should take some shots of the real thing, bag, interior suede and all... to give the full effect.

Brooksfletcher:

It's a sick lid though, like butter with your black RS4, don't forget to add the cost of the flight to the helmet, lol.

What was the factory like? Is that when you ordered the new one? Have you ever owned a Ducati? If not how come?

True,

I've never seen that type of Arai/Ducati helmet. I would be interested to see the bag for your helmet and interior, I bet it is nice

If you take some pics, I'll take some to. We gotta liven this thread up with more helmet pics. Besides I need better quality photos anyways.

As far as the cost, that two weeks in Europe was a pure party trip. I seriously spent WAY MORE money on the red light district and strip clubs

I only went to the HQ, the factory/assembly plant is not far down the road though. But we where on a time constraint to get to Venice before dark. The HQ was like a mini-museum with offices and a corporate store with all the european Aprilia apparel. VERY NICE!

And I actually ordered my bike as soon as I got back from my deployment.

I have never owned a Ducati, but have ridden a 748 once. But, I figure if I was gonna buy another bike, might as well be one that I could keep for a long time and grow and learn from.

I still like everything about Ducati though, but after visiting the Aprilia, I fell in love

It's amazes me that in that small building, in that small town, they can produce such a product. I love it!

I'm on it...

I just introduced myself to every European Hottie and played the odds... I seemed to have really good luck with Swedish girls... they were all so friendly and most spoke English. Rome, Florence, and this one hotty in Deauville, France, can't remember her name. She worked at the hotel I stayed at as a waitress. I wish I had kept in touch with her. Didn't seem to care much about that back then .

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Aprilia... they make amazing machines! Sounds like a sick trip! I can't wait to go back to Italy again.

You and me both! I'm talking to a Latvian girl right now, so we'll see how this goes.

Yeah,

Milan was cool except for the closing before dinner time thing they did. I liked Venice a lot, there seem to be more english there and the food and sites were better.

Brooks, I love you in the photo of you visiting Aprilia HQ, the look on your face is like "Wha?" ;-) As far as the Suomys, I think they fit great. My friend prefers them over AGV because AGVs make his ears fit funny. I have heard of some other ppl saying AGVs do that, but I've never personally worn one, so I can't say.
