Haha, that is kind of weird. Guess I've got too much shame. =p but then again guess they didn't have to worry because no one could tell who they were with the helmet on.

I don't think I could date anybody who desn't ride.... It's SUCH a big part of who I am, and pretty much all I do in my spare time, that if I had a boyfriend who didn't ride I would never see him... Maybe this is why I'm single, most of the guys with bikes in my area are Icon-wearing stunting douchebags, not guys who actually like to ride and really take it seriously. But whatever, to each his own, just don't try to pick me up if you have your helmet strapped to your rear seat and are just riding in sunglasses...

Whew! Now that we know Jason Britton's out of the running it's almost like we've got a shot!
i'd have to say i'm the total opposite. after dating several guys that ride, its just has way too much dramas. the riding community is small and being a girl, everyone knows who u are. when u break up, they start talking shit since they're butt hurt. then it becomes a he said, she said. i've been through it and see it all the time.
dating a guy that doesn't ride, he has his own set of friends, the whole riding community doesn't know ur business, and since he don't come w/... riding becomes an escape. i'm the kind of girl that needs her space and loves it. the more time i get on my own, the more i love the time i have w/ him.
on top of that i love that he's into cars. understands the passion and the need for speed. does some good wrenching, which come in handy when i'm tinkering on the bike. but it's a major plus when he hangs w/ us on bike nights. the boys just love ragging on his car n talking 'shop.'

that's pretty cherry. i like the new look. bike's been great and i've been good, but haven't rode as much. picking up new hobbies mean splitting my time.
i seriously have to thank you. your 749 was the first duc i ever rode. after that little scoot around the block, that was it. i was hooked.
i think the guys i hang w/ are kind of goofy. shelena dared one of them to rider her bike w/ her pink helmet and pink backpack on. he's 6'2 w/ a basketball player build, it was quite a site. she took a few pics and we all had a good laugh.

Well, I've NEVER seen or talked to females that ride sports bikes before coming to this site. They were like unicorns, they only exist in fairy tales Luckily, we got some on this site So it's nice to get some perspective from that side of the house.
From what you two are saying, it looks like I would want a girl who is serious about riding, but not one with a bunch of drama.

I think that your situation is a little more unique because of where we were. Hawaii is a small place, there's only so many riders out there, mostly military, and there were only so many places to ride so of course the majority of them would know each other. Same people meet up at the same gas station. Solution's probably to date a guy that rides motorcycle but isn't normally with that group. I don't think I hardly knew anyone in that group except for you and shaleena. I'm not saying you should have dated me now you're too tall and I'm too short hahaha.

Welllll maybe you coulddddddddd pack your bf if he didn't know how to ride then you'd be able to spend your time with him. Make sure his thong straps are pulled up out of his jeans so everyone can see. Jk. I think my ideal gf would ride her own bike but at the same time can park it and hop on the back of mine just for the "quality time" to just cruise instead of us playing speed racer.

Have any of you ever been on that back seat? Holy hell it's scary as crap. I've only sat on the back seat of mine just for shits and giggles and man it's scary as hell back there. That extra 3 or so inches puts you so much higher and of course being back there you have no control of the bike. It's like being on a roller coaster, I love roller coasters but no thanks haha. Props to all the girls that enjoy being on the back of bikes.

I guess I'm lucky that there are so many different bike 'communities' here that I don't really have to worry about this. Most of the people that I have dated with bikes didn't really beling to any certain group or bunch of riders, they kind of all did their own thing (like me). The only real group of riders that would talk shit are the Jason Britton wannabes that I wouldn't be cought dead with in the first place... And I'm pretty sure they already talk shit about me because they know I hate them all. But I've been pretty lucky to stay outta the gossip circle, and not get involved with the drama of all that.
I would LOVE To take my friends with me, but I've never taken a passenger and I'm nervous to do it for the first time on my 848. But how much fun would that be, just throw your pal on the back of my bike instead of taking a car everywhere! I might need to practice this.... I don't think I could seriously take a guy on the back of my bike, unless it was to give him a lift or something. I love the fact that Quacker did it, thats awesome! But I just don't think I would like to do it all the time. And it is nice to take a ride on the back for some 'quality time', but I am an awful passenger. And whenever I am on the back I just can't stop thinking about how much I wish I was on my own bike.
